Video games industry veteran Jade Raymond has established a new autonomous game studio in Montreal called ‘Haven.’
The designer’s first game will be an “unique, new IP” for PlayStation. In a PlayStation Blog post, Raymond didn’t detailed on what’s in store from the game, despite the fact that she noticed that she’s bringing “a significant number of the gifted game engineers” that she’s worked with for quite a long time to Haven.
“We need to make universes where players can get away, have a great time, communicate, and discover local area. We need to empty our energy into a venture. We need to make something wondrous for individuals to encounter,” Raymond composed. “Since we have faith in the force of games to carry euphoria to individuals’ lives. What’s more, Sony does, as well. Their obligation to greatness is unrivaled. It’s the reason I was unable to be more joyful for their sponsorship and support.”
PlayStation is making an undisclosed interest in Haven as a component of the improvement of its first game.
Raymond is a productive maker and pioneer in the business, having been a maker on the first Assassin’s Creed at Ubisoft. She later established the organization’s Toronto studio (most popular for Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Watch Dogs: Legion) and EA’s Montreal- based Motive (Star Wars: Squadrons).
Most as of late, she filled in as head of Google Stadia’s Games and Entertainment, despite the fact that she left the organization once the main party game improvement division was covered in February.
