However, it’s a good idea to avoid spicy foods because they can make your runny nose worse. Alcohol won’t be very helpful either.

Headache
If you have a headache, there are a few things you can do to feel better. Headaches can happen when you don’t drink enough water, so it’s a good idea to drink lots of water to help your headache go away. It’s also important to avoid coffee, artificial sweeteners, aged cheeses, and processed meats because they can make your headache worse.

Sore Throat
Do your throat hurt? Here are some things you can do to make it feel better. Slayton recommends having hard candies and drinking plenty of water. If eating is hard, try having soups, yogurt, mashed potatoes, or scrambled eggs. They might be easier to swallow when your throat hurts. Stay away from acidic fruits and vegetables.

Sick
If you’re feeling unwell with an upset stomach, you can try eating pretzels or saltine crackers. It’s best to stick to plain foods like noodles or dry toast. Foods with lots of water, such as popsicles or soup, can also be helpful. Avoid foods that have a strong smell, are greasy or spicy, and carbonated drinks. By choosing the right foods, you can hopefully improve your symptoms.
